With the 6th gen coming, this will not be helpful to as many folks as I hoped, but here they are anyways. The first 3 used oil reports of a 2023 ORP.

What do you recommend? I thought Mobile 1 makes the Toyota oil. I am not trying to start another oil thread :).

Geniune Toyota 0w20 has robust levels of moly, Mobil 1 does not (as you can see from the UOA's). I run it in ALL my vehicles, even non-Toyota's. A 5qt jug of Mobil 1 is $30 and I have to buy 2 addt'l quarts anyways for $9 each. 6 qts of Toyota 0w20 is around $45-$50.

Just add pure moly if more is better.

I just used Kirkland again last night.

I bought a bunch of Mobil1 6qt for 28$ at Costco, still left some good for 3-4 oil changes. I'll restock when its ob sale again and keep using it with 4-5k intervals. Will also be sending samples for testing every second oil change.
But the crazy thing is Toyota expects us to keep the factory oil for 10K miles, which at 1400 already had high levels of wear in material.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Project Farm tested OEM oils and the Toyota oil finished last. There are more important ingredients than moly.

Your progression through the three tests looks perfectly normal. I wouldn't even bother testing before 10,000 miles; it's a recipe for unneeded worrying.

I followed a similar plan to you. I changed break-in oil at 1,100 miles, and replaced with M1 EP 0W-20 and new filter for the 1,100-5,000 mile interval and again at 10K. i will send my 10K-15K mile oil off to Blackstone for my '23 ORP's first UOA.

Lol I only read the manual after 1000miles, realized it had break-in instructions, some I had'nt followed. Wanted to make sure the engine was breaking in normally. I also was curious there isnt a lot of data on t4r break in oil results out there.

Brand doesn't matter, every 10k synthetic your engine will outlast your ownership, guaranteed

On my last oil change, 7.8k miles, I had more aluminum and iron, but less copper. Better filtration on mine too, which is funny given twice the mileage. Your air filter must be shidded on. Around the 32k-40k miles. I run God's strongest oil (Pennzoil Ultra Plat Synth)

Funny. I bought my 4R from an out of state dealer. Went by my local one for oil. Parts guy said they quit selling it over the counter. Told me to go get Mobil 1. Said it's the same thing. WTF?

What is moly supposed to do anyways? My wear metals are at or below the average, morw moly would bring them even lower? I doubt. Some people swear by zinc and other additives. Axcording to blackstone themselves, additices do very little if any. Source: Blackstone Slick Talk Podcast.
